For more than 25 years, IntraHealth has collaborated with the government of Rwanda and local partners to meet the country’s need for high-quality health services by training health workers and strengthening the systems that support them. Together, we’ve established decentralized health services that engage communities in defining and ensuring the quality of their care.

With IntraHealth’s support, the Rwanda Ministry of Health is developing a culture of data analysis and use that improves planning related to the health workforce and the delivery of high-quality care to clients. Our programs in Rwanda bring high-quality services closer to communities who need them, including services for:

  • Family planning
  • Maternal & newborn care
  • Pediatric care
  • Malaria prevention & treatment
  • Nutrition education
  • Gender-based violence
  • Safe surgery in family planning & obstetrics
  • COVID-19
