William Mubiru

Former Chief of party, Uganda RHITES-E Activity

William Mubiru is a public health expert with over fifteen years of experience in the development, humanitarian, and advocacy sectors. He specializes in health system strengthening, integrated health and district-led programming. He has overseen all aspects of project implementation from project planning and design, implementation, assessment, monitoring, and evaluation.

Before he was chief of party for the Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in Eastern Uganda (RHITES-E) activity, he was the district capacity building and quality improvement team lead and director of health system strengthening at IntraHealth. He was responsible for leading the design, implementation, and monitoring of health systems strengthening; HIV and tuberculosis; maternal, newborn, and child health; family planning; nutrition; and water, sanitation and hygiene interventions for RHITES-E.

Prior to joining IntraHealth, he worked with World Vision international in central, midwestern, and northern Uganda. 

William has a bachelor's degree in social sciences from Makerere University, a master's degree in development studies from Uganda Martyrs University, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in public health from Suffolk University UK.
