Nurse and advocate

Tracy is a nurse, advocate, and Frontline Health Workers Coalition Regional advisor. Previously, she was a technical advisor at Last Mile Health, where she utilized digital tools for the training of frontline health workers, including community health workers, in partnership with the Ministry of Health.

In the past, Tracy worked in the development sector, global health, refugee programs, women’s and girls’ empowerment, and advocacy for nurses and midwives. As a nurse she has worked in public health facilities in Uganda, helping to set up six health centers in rural hard to reach areas. Named as a 40 under 40 influential leader in Uganda (2013, New Vision) Tracy is driven by the need to create innovative sustainable health solutions at both policy and service delivery level in East Africa. A facilitator at heart, Tracy is passionate about community driven development and advocacy for (and with) nurses and midwives in policy development and leadership.
