It's our favorite time of year!

World Health Worker Week is a time to celebrate the crucial impact frontline health workers make, and to recognize and appreciate the challenging conditions they face in order to provide care where it's needed most. We're excited to use this week to raise visibility for the men and women of the global health workforce, applaud their dedication, and advocate for an increased commitment to providing health workers with the training, supplies, and support they need in order to thrive.

  • We're talking with frontline health workers from around the world this week on VITAL. Follow us all week to hear their stories about the clients who’ve moved them, the moments that keep them coming to work each day, and what it’s really like provide health services on the front lines.

  • Follow @IntraHealth and #WHWWeek on Twitter for themed posts throughout the week. We'll be engaged in a Twitter Chat on April 3 from 10:00-10:30am EST to discuss the ways health worker voices impact policy change. Join us to weigh in on how you see opportunity — and challenges — for health workers as they push for positive change.

  • Frontline Health Workers Coalition will host a Thunderclap to share a message of support for access to health workers. Join the Thunderclap to bolster the demand for health services for all.

  • In partnership with the Frontline Health Workers Coalition and the Global Health Workforce Network, we're pleased to offer an engagement kit highlighting the importance of World Health Worker Week and offering lots of ways to get involved in promoting the week online within your networks.

We love World Health Worker Week, because we love health workers! Join us in championing their commitment to care — and in advocating for them to have what they need to be able to do their best work.
